Inspection & Maintenance Baseline
Consider an independent mechanical inspection before purchase. This is a reminder to arrange one — it is not a do-it-yourself inspection guide and does not replace a qualified inspector or mechanic.
An independent inspector commonly reviews areas such as tires, brakes, fluids, batteries, lights, suspension, engine and transmission condition, emissions systems, and (for trailers) trailer brakes, tires, and lighting. Use the inspection report as a record.
