Safe ELD and MYLOGS Devices Are Now Subject to Out-of-Service Enforcement

The replacement period has ended for specified Safe ELD and MYLOGS devices. FMCSA states that drivers found using the revoked devices may now be cited and placed out of service.

What Changed: FMCSA previously revoked: - Safe ELD Android — Model SafeELD-Android — Identifier ELD42A - Safe ELD iOS — Model SafeELD-IOS — Identifier ELD42A - MYLOGS ELD — Model MYLGS2, formerly MYLGS — Identifier MRS202, formerly MRS201 The replacement period ended July 7, 2026. Current Status: FMCSA states that safety officials encountering drivers using these revoked devices, or improperly relying on paper logs after the transition period, should cite the applicable violation and place the driver out of service under the current out-of-service criteria.

What Drivers / Owner-Operators Should Do Now

Do not continue operating with one of these devices. Verify the replacement device on FMCSA's current Registered Devices List, confirm installation, train affected drivers, and preserve required hours-of-service records.
